With our Alternative to Detention program at Barnes & Sons, we partner with youths and families to change potentially challenging interactions with law enforcement into a positive experience where the families’ and/or youths’ voices are heard. Our Alternative to Detention program provides an alternative option for low-risk offenders so they can successfully transition out of the justice system and avoid re-offense.

Our Alternative to Detention program also includes: risk assessment, case advocacy, crisis intervention, family conflict mediation, academic enhancement, school and home visits, Case Management and Family Services, opportunities for community service, and more.
